Ki-joon in TV Series Life Special Investigation Team

Korean musical actor Uhm Ki Joon (Eom Gi Jun)will play the role of a psychopath in the upcoming thriller movie, The Demolished Man This will be Eom first movie although he has starred in several movie series such as the 2009 TV series “Hero” and “The World They Live In” in 2008, which is also his breakout project. He was formerly a musical actor who was successful in transferring to television. Eom will playing the psychopath opposite the character of Kim Myung-min, who plays a minister whose daughter is kidnapped and is presumed dead. Kim’s film credits include “Open City” in 2008 and “Closer To Heaven” in 2009 where he won the Best Leading Actor trophy in the 30th Blue Dragon Film Awards. Kim was also awarded the Best Performance Award at the MBC Drama Festival Awards in 2008 for his role as Kang Ma-e in MBC’s 18-episode series Beethoven Virus. For this role in the series, he also received the grand prize at the 2008 Korean Drama Festival.

In the movie, Kim, who is a minister, quits his job after the ones responsible for his daughter’s disappearance contain him, eight years after she was kidnapped. In his obsession to get back his daughter, Kim’s character also goes through a divorce and focuses on hunting down the criminal involved in the abduction. Eom’s character is depicted to be an unemotional psychopath. Although the plot of the story about a psycho against the victim thriller is slowly becoming a dime a dozen, the presence of these two actors will definitely give the movie a boost. The movie which will start its production on January 24, is scheduled to be released later on this year.
