Takeshi Kitano’s upcoming ‘comeback’ movie, “Outrage” finally released its first trailer. The movie, which is the return movie of Kitano to the genre where he made a name for himself, deals with the brutal world of the Japanese yakuza. His last movie that had a gangster theme was “Brother” way back in 2000. He initially made a name for himself internationally in his 1993 movie “Sonatine” where he played a Yakuza member who became tired of his life as a gangster. In 1989, Kitano directed and starred in the hit movie “Violent Cop”, where he achieved commercial and critical success in Japan. Kitano’s 2003 movie “Zatoichi” win the Silver Lion trophy in the Venice Film Festival. This movie was also a big hit in the Japanese box office for Kitano aside from winning several local and international awards.
In his newest movie, he plays the role of a low-ranking yakuza gangster who seems to get the jobs that nobody wants. It starts when the leader (Kitamira Soichiro) of the Sannokai, a large organized crime group in the Kanto region seriously cautions his subordinate Kato (played by Miura Tomazu) as well as high right hand man Ikemoto (played by Kunimura Jun). Kato then gives Ikemoto an order to bring back in line the Murase-gumi an unassociated gang. Ikemoto, who is also the leader of the Ikemoto-gumi, then gives the responsibility of performing the job to his underling Otomo (Kitano) who also has his own gang. In the end, Otomo becomes responsible for all the jobs that none of his superiors want to handle. The movie is set to hit the big screen in Japan on June 12.

The whole yakuza theme seems to be in right now. I noticed they are also on the 3rd ps3 yakuza game.
I believe so, History seems to repeat itself
