The story of Susuk is about two women who belonged to the glitzy and glamorous world of entertainment and their encounter cum experiences with “Susuk”. By the way, “Susuk” in Malaysian is a magical ritual aimed performed to attract wealth, beauty, and success. This particular ritual is requiring a priest who inserts a certain object into a person’s skin. In Islamic laws, the practice of this mysterious ritual was forbidden. In the movie, Soraya was a nurse who was dreaming to become a famous singer. As a result, she was advised to practice Susuk. However, she was not satisfied with the effects of the version she used to do. Therefore, she resorted to a more powerful version of Susuk, known as “Royal Susuk

On the other hand, a famous singer by the name of Suzana, who was very determined to stay on top with this dangerous spell, broke some essential rules of the spell. Consequently, she turned into a fanged monster. To revoke the devilish effects of Susuk, she must kill people.

The way that I had perceived the movie? It bewildered my imagination and to top it all, it enthralled me to the hilt as if I want to try the effects of black magic ritual to prove if it could really change my luck with just a practice of an enchanted procedure such as this. As far as the storyline was concerned, it was perfectly narrated; and if I were to describe it, “superb and very classy” will be the proper adjective to aptly describe it. Likewise, the portrayal of two characters in one soul was something viewers must look forward to. In addition, the movie was very intriguing. Nevertheless, the simplicity of the lead characters portrayal added more “mysticism to the film as a whole. Furthermore,, the transformation of Soraya into a “fanged monster” was really spine chilling for me. In other words, it was a standout scene. Imagine a beautiful and alluring woman turning into a dreaded monster? That was really an awesome job by the whole team.

Overall, the movie is highly recommended and I do not have to say much more except all praises and commendation for this motion picture.
