Movie buffs in India will finally have something to enjoy. After months of deliberation, Indian Block buster hit movie Magadheera will be release in Blu-Ray DVD for the first time in India this coming March under the largest home video label Sri Balaji Videos. This 2009 Telugu movie was directed by S.S. Rajamouli.
Starring Ram Charan Teja, Kajal Agarwal, and Srihari. The story is set during the Udayghad kingdom in 1609. Mitra (Kajal Agarwal) , the heir princess fell in love with the chief guard Bhairava(Ram Charan Teja) . However not everybody approves of their feelings for each other especially the princess cousin, Rao Ramesh(Srihari) who wants to marry Mitra so that he could capture the throne. He lose the challenge to Bhairava and finally banished from the kingdom. With the help of Share Khan, Rao Ramesh invade Udayghad. In the event, all of them die.
The four characters take rebirth 400 years later , in our era. Harsha falls in love with Indu and a guy called Raghuveer is after her. While the story unfolds, they are now realizing that they are fighting for another reason – an unfinished business.
Magadheera became a blockbuster hit after its released in July 31, 2009 in 14 countries according to South Indian Film industry.
The DVD version for Magadhereera will include a bonus disc with additional special feature. The Blu-Ray will be released two weeks after that. Overall there are not enough device in India capable of playing the Blu-Ray disc, however the decision to invest in such technology is due to the enormous amount of request the video label receive. It is expected to hit Indian local store by the third week of March 2010
