Finally, Blades of Blood is coming to DVD. South Korean distributor D-Co is scheduled to release a Region 3 First press two disc limited edition version of this 2010 blockbuster hit on August 11, 2010.
Based on a comic series created by Park Heung-yong, the movie was directed by Lee Jon-ik who is also responsible for producing the third most watched film in Korean box office The King and the Clown. The movie stars Hwang Jung-Min, an actor known for portraying a role in notable film such as A Man Who Was Superman and You are My Sunshine plays as a blind swordman during the 1592 Cho Seun era. He is to eliminate an old ally named Lee Mong-Hak (Cha Seung-Won), an impetuous young politician who raised his own army to overthrow the government. Other cast includes Baek Seong-Hyeon and Han Ji-Hye (East of Eden KTV series)
Features tons of epic sword fight and great acting, no wonder the film was sold to five countries even before its homeland premiere in April 29, 2010.
