Heads up Martial Arts movie fans!, two classic hard action Shaw Brother’s martial arts film is slated for released on Region 1 DVD this coming April 2010. Kid with a Golden Arm and The Deadly Duo.
“Kid with a Golden Arm” was released on 1979 starring Sun Chien, Lu Feng, and Wang Lung Wei. The plot revolves around a man name Yang Yu Heng (Sun Chien) who is to protect a load of gold into a famine area However, he must struggle against the vicious Chi Sah gang. In order to deliver it safely though he enlisted the help of swordsman Li Chin Ming (Wei Pai) and his girlfriend Miss Leng (Pan Pin-Chang).
“The Deadly Duo” is another Martial Arts wuxia film starring David Chiang and Ti Lung. The film was released in 1971 and it was directed by Shaw Brothers Studio’s most prolific film director Chang Cheh. This version will be released on Blu-Ray.
