2The producer of “IP Man 2” and “14 blades” just release a new trailer for the film “Fist of Dragon”. The movie is directed by Michael Chua, starring Wang Xiao-chen, and Fiona Xie.

The project is a joint collaboration between Fusian Median of Singapore and Desen International of China. With only about 1 million dollar budget Chua’s team perform a lot of stuntworks mirroring some Donnie-yen style of fighting.

Fist of Dragon is about a young man Li who came to the aid of his uncle by his fathers request, his uncle has been facing financial trouble lately. After arriving into his relative’s town, Li feels alone due to cultural differences. Li however found out that his uncle trouble is caused by local mobsters. Li decided to help but his acts bring the wrath of the triads and drags the whole town into deeper turmoil. There is one more problem, his uncle’s daughter is part of the mobster and Li must choose wisely before everything falls apart.

Chua will play as Li which is supposedly not his at first, but because his original pick for role did not work out, he step in and by judging on the trailer he did good on those fight scene. Also starring in the film is Henry Thia, a Singaporean actor who will provide some extra comedic acts. Henry is a veteran of comedy movie, he is known for starring in other funny films such as Money no enough 1 and 2 as well as 2006 TV series “Police and Thief”.

Fist of Dragon is slated for 2010 release.
