Azumi is about a story of a war – torn feudal Japan. It featured a family of assassins raised from their youngsters by a master named Gessai, who was out to eradicate three warlords with a well – orchestrated plan to rule the country with a bloody struggle. This was a story about assassins who learned to the basics of martial arts , the mastery of weapon handling and the ruthless attitude of their master, Gessai. Azumi and her fellow samurais, were trained so hard to rage a battle and struggle against the dangerous face of a world ruled by death and ultimate destruction of warlords as well as their armies of adversaries. Who will emerge as the victor? Will the continuing saga to gain dominion over a territory end in bloodshed?

In a descriptive angle, the movie personified a chimerical purpose; but the best thing about this motion picture was the capability of the characters to combat mercenaries especially by Azumi, who remained graceful and gorgeous as she killed dozens of pluggers. It is an unsolicited advice to the viewers to see the climax of this flick and judge for themselves how the antagonist was able to succeed on taking about 200 dark horses in the movie, accompanied by gory, slash fest

This was an evident proof that “gender” is not an issue if we want to help other people against treacherous and animalistic personas. Furthermore, Azumi was an entertaining movie; with a touch of artistic humanism, Artistic humanism is the creative use of human expression in articulating the myriad aspects of human conditions and experiences. Speaking of its plot,it can be attributed to as one wrapped in a box of promises, yet, it delivered the goods. To prove, though Azumi was a computer generated film,. Kitamura was able to keep the embellishments of the film and with the right timing; suddenly it exploded with thrill and excitement to the delight of the viewers. Moreover, the camera works were also fascinating as it made a 360 degree loops around Azumi and her combatant before the decisive moment took place.

Though the plot was too common and familiar, the movie is highly recommended to all viewers of all ages and feel the action right before your eyes and be filled with excitement at the edge of your seats. Enjoy!
